Sunflower Fabric Collage

$15.000

SKU: SF 32126 Category: Brand:

The Sunflower Fabric Collage is one of the patterns used for our Intro to Collage class because it is both simple and stunning.

SunFlower Fabric Collage

To create a beautiful Sunflower fabric collage, you will need a variety of yellows and golds, greens, browns and just a bit of purple and yellow-orange. Use craps or an eighth of a yard of a good variety of prints. We have made it often with batiks. Any print that reads to color you are looking for will work beautifully. Fussy-cut butterflies or other motifs to finish it off. One fat quarter of a contrasting color is the background.

Supplies required:  Very sharp scissors, such as Karen K. Buckley scissors, at least 2 yards or more of Steam-a-Seam 2 (Lite or regular), an applique pressing sheet (or parchment paper), a fine tip sharpie, hot iron and misting spray bottle of water.

Recommended:  Light tablet or box or a bright window for tracing.

Linda began teaching fabric collage about 2016 after requests came pouring in by customers at the former Wimberley Stitch Studio.  Teaching other commercial patterns led to her creating simple patterns with beautiful results.  You can create collage because there are “No Rules!”  If you feel you need a hand to learn the techniques, Linda teaches classes and workshops, as well as doing programs for quilt guilds.
