I want to welcome you to my Studio! I hope you’ll come sit with me, have a cuppa coffee or tea and get to know each other.

Like many of you, I began sewing in Home Ec.  My mother made some of my clothes and did mending, but she didn’t love sewing.  Years later when I began quilting she told me that I must have gotten it from her mother who made lots of quilts.

I made my first quilt when my oldest was born in 1981.  I sewed clothing, projects and quilted projects sporatically while my kids were growing up and I taught them to sew.

In the early 2000s I began to quilt in earnest.  I couldn’t get enough of it.  I was self-taught, but wanted to learn more. I joined our local quilt guild and began taking classes and worked part time in a local quilt shop.

In 2013, I moved to Wimberley.  Shortly after, my friend, Judy and I opened Wimberley Stitch Studio Quilt Shop.  I never thought I’d actually own a quilt shop, but dreams do come true.  After the first year I was the sole proprietor and for 12 years I loved going to my happy place.

This year, in 2025, I decided to retire the shop and focus on my faves – longarm quilting and teaching.  God, who has helped me in every step of my life, has done amazing things and blessed the closing of the shop just like He blessed all the years of running it.

I am teaching and doing programs at guilds, in shops and private classes.  I love sharing all the wonderful things I’ve learned along the way.  “NO RULES” Collage is one of my passions, as well as Miniature Quilts and Technique classes. I just love making patterns for quilts that look intricate, but have fun and easy techniques. I want to share these with you.
