So, I’ve spent most of my time the last few months…

… longarming, teaching classes and playing with my grandson, but I’ve also had a lot of fun with miniature quilts for my monthly class. Some other quilt ladies and I meet monthly for miniature quilting. The latest one was my Jacob’s Ladder pattern. It finishes about 12 x 18.” One of the sweet ladies, Stephanie, brought fabric back from her international trip and shared it with us to make the Jacob’s Ladder. This picture was before I added embroidery and embellishments. The great thing about most of my miniatures is that you don’t need to cut little bitty squares and sew them together. I sew strips together and sub-cut. You can also do 8-at-a-time half square triangles if you use the same fabrics. This one was from a kit of many fabrics, though. You start with 6-inch squares to make the individual blocks so a great scrap buster.
